We absolutely love our Ring Doorbell Pro. A video doorbell was something we never thought we would use—it always felt a little “extra.” But when we redid our siding a few years ago, we decided to invest in one, and it ended up being one of those purchases we didn’t know we needed until we had it.
The Ring Doorbell Pro has been amazing. It simply works. We’ve never had issues with the video cutting out, and the app is very easy to use. The live feed loads quickly, and it’s simple to scroll back and see what was happening at any point throughout the day from the view of our front door.
Before having one, we weren’t sure a video doorbell was really necessary—but now I can’t imagine being without it. It’s so helpful to see who’s at the door before answering, especially if we’re in the middle of supper or getting kids settled. We know if someone stops by while we’re not home, and we get alerts when packages arrive (which gives peace of mind when deliveries are left outside). My husband travels for work occasionally, and being able to check the front yard from my phone at any time makes me feel so much more comfortable.
One thing I really appreciate is how customizable the notifications are. At first, we were getting alerts every time a car drove by, which was a little much for us. The app makes it easy to adjust the motion range and sensitivity so you only get notifications for what actually matters to your family.
Another great feature is the ability to hear and talk to people at your door through the app. If someone stops by and you can’t get to the door, you can easily let them know. There’s also an option to play a recorded message if you don’t answer within a certain amount of time—almost like a voicemail for your door. We don’t personally use that feature, but it’s nice to have the option.
Overall, we truly love our Ring Doorbell Pro and recommend it to other families. It’s made everyday life a little easier and has given us so much peace of mind.
